Safee Sali Menerima Risikan Lagi?

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 1 (Bernama) -- Fresh from the national squad's victory in the AFF-Suzuki 2010 Cup, striker Mohd Safee Mohd Sali is being wooed by four clubs -- three from Indonesia and another from Vietnam.

"Vietnamese officials made the offers personally to me while three leading Indonesian clubs contacted me over the phone," said Football Association of Selangor (FAS) secretary-general Datuk Hamidin Mohd Amin.

Speaking to reporters after the Malaysian Leagues draw at Bukit Jalil here, he said he had informed Mohd Safee of the offers at the FAS office Friday.

The Selangor squad left for Australia Saturday for three friendlies before returning home on Jan 9.

Hamidin, who is also Football Association of Malaysia vice-president, said, "Mohd Safee was in kind of disbelief with what I had told him. I'm going to Australia and will pursue the matter further with him so that he could think openly.

"I told him of the risks and constraints entailed if he takes up the offer. Proper procedures will be adhered to if the FAS is to release Mohd Safee," he said.

The decision whether Mohd Safee is allowed to join a foreign club rested with the FAS Supreme Committee, said Hamidin, adding that he would also bring up the matter with Selangor Menteri Besar Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim and the state executive council.
